SPARE PARTS & DIGITAL INVENTORY

PRODUCE SPARE PARTS WHEN YOU NEED THEM

Additive manufacturing offers a flexible way to produce spare parts on demand – without conventional tooling and without having to keep large quantities in stock.

Instead of storing physical parts for years, suitable components can be stored digitally and manufactured when they are actually required.

FROM PHYSICAL STOCK TO DIGITAL INVENTORY

For suitable spare parts, a digital 3D model can replace or reduce conventional physical inventory.

This can be particularly useful for low-volume parts, older products or components with irregular demand.

Benefits include:

On-demand production · No conventional tooling · Reduced storage requirements · Flexible quantities · Long-term availability of suitable parts

OBSOLETE OR HARD-TO-SOURCE PARTS

WHEN THE ORIGINAL PART IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE

Additive manufacturing can also offer new possibilities when conventional spare parts are no longer available or difficult to source.

If suitable 3D data is available, CIPRES can evaluate whether the component can be manufactured additively and which material and finishing process are appropriate for the application.

FUNCTION AND FINISHING

A spare part does not necessarily end with the printing process.

Depending on its application, CIPRES can combine additive manufacturing with post-processing, coloring and finishing to achieve the required surface and appearance.

This is particularly useful when replacement parts need to match an existing product or assembly.

FROM ONE PART TO RECURRING DEMAND

Need one replacement today and another batch several months from now?

Once a suitable production process has been established, components can be manufactured again when required.

This makes additive manufacturing particularly interesting for low and irregular spare-part demand.

DO YOU HAVE A SPARE PART APPLICATION?

Send us your 3D data and application requirements. We will evaluate whether additive manufacturing is suitable for your spare part.
