Infiltration

Coatings serve to seal surfaces to make components water-, gas- or airtight.

Thus, products are protected against dirt, sweat and environmental influences and long-term odorless. Even with changing temperatures, the components are reliably sealed. In addition, there is an improvement in the light stability and the thermal or chemical resistance. The infiltrate is colorless and has a drinking water and food approval.

With this method, leaking nylon parts with up to 0.1 mm deep pores are sealed without material application. During infiltration, the polymer is applied to the porous surfaces by vacuum, thermal and chemical bonds. The excellent capillary action of the infiltrate allows the polymer to penetrate deep into the component and cures there. Thus, high print density is achieved for components even with difficult object structures.
