Polyamide 12 (MJF)
HP’s Multi Jet Fusion process uses a fine grained PA12 material that provides a layer thickness of 80 micrometer. This results in parts with high density and stability as well as low porosity. The polyamide PA12 for MJF has a slightly rough, gray-colored surface and is ideal for use in functional prototypes and small batches of operational parts.
We offer our post-processing for MJF components. These can be colored, tumbled, infiltrated and smoothed.
While tumbling there is a little material removal that makes the edges a little bit darker. This gives the component a “vintage” look.
During chemical smoothing, the MJF components turn almost black, because the surface is melted and the black basic material comes to light.
